To keep HalalZest useful and trustworthy for everyone, business listings and reviews must follow these guidelines.
Business Listings Must:
- Represent a real, operating business.
- Provide accurate contact information and location.
- Only claim halal certification the business genuinely holds. HalalZest may ask for supporting documentation.
- Use a category that genuinely matches the business’s services.
Not Allowed:
- Fake, duplicate, or misleading listings.
- Hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content of any kind.
- False or unverifiable halal certification claims.
- Spam, unrelated advertising, or listings with no real connection to Greater Montreal.
Reviews Must:
- Reflect a genuine experience with the business.
- Avoid personal attacks, hate speech, or harassment.
- Only include photos that are genuinely relevant to your experience at the business. Photos must not contain unrelated, offensive, or misleading content.
- Never be traded, purchased, or compensated for — reviews must reflect the reviewer’s own honest experience.
Owner Replies Must:
- Address the review professionally and in good faith.
- Avoid personal attacks, harassment, or the disclosure of a reviewer’s private information.
Enforcement
HalalZest reviews new listings before they go live. We reserve the right to edit, reject, or remove any listing or review that does not meet these guidelines, without prior notice.
